Are you looking for things to do with your kids on (and around) the Northern Beaches? We've compiled a list of outdoor and indoor playgrounds below. We are currently building an online search for you, where you'll be able to search for things to do, by your criteria, and have results delivered to you at the click of a button - and EVERY playground will be listed! Forestville War Memorial (Poppy Park) Playground has recently been renovated and is a beautiful place to spend time with your kids. The playground offers inclusive play opportunities for all abilities.
The play equipment and furniture feature the use of timber to reflect the established native garden setting and existing sculptures in the park.
The park has many features including:- A large accessible main play structure with a spiral tube slide, a wide straight side and climbing options- Toddler play structure with double slide- Single point basket swing- Standard basket swing- High backed toddler swing & std toddler swing- Spring rocker- Musical pipes- Balancing play elements- Fully enclosed with safe fencing- Toilets onsite
Other features of the park include picnic tables, bench seats, a water drinking fountain, and path access.
This playground forms part of the recreation precinct that includes multiple sports fields, courts, a skate park and a recently opened outdoor fitness area.
It’s a great place to take the kids for a run around, or meet up with friends for a BBQ.

Lionel Watts Reserve Playground is located on the edge of Frenchs Forest and it is surrounded by plenty of other fun things to do with the kids – including a skatepark, netball and basketball courts, a bike track around the showground, as well as cricket nets, an exercise area and plenty of space to kick a ball or run around. Activities are contained within an expansive fenced area with visitors able to select from a variety of distinct play areas, designed for different age ranges and abilities. Swinging, spinning, balancing, rocking, climbing, running, sitting and sensory nature play experiences are all available.
The younger children’s area offers smaller scale play elements with junior swings, a carousel, a rocker, cubby house with low slide and an imaginative farm play setting for developing motor-skills as well as social, cognitive and emotional capabilities.
While the older children’s area offers more challenging larger scale active play with tall rope climbs, elevated walkways, high slides, cable rides and a giant bird’s nest swing!

Little Manly Point is located next to Little Manly Beach. The park has everything one needs for the perfect day out to play, fish, swim or just relax.
Located on the old Manly Gasworks site next to Little Manly Beach, the park is surrounded by grass, bushland, leafy picnic areas and fantastic views of the harbour.
Little ones will love the marine themed junior play area which features a timber boat, ship mast, binoculars, wheel, megaphone, wave play mound and an inground jumping pad.
